THE'Art of Building it is the Educational Laboratory that Coopera And Val di Cornia Parks will bring this year to XXVII Edition of Festambiente.
The experimental construction site of the Rocca di San Silvestro has been “miniaturized” and will begin its tour onAugust 11th starting from 6.00 pm in the context of Science EnvironmentA mini festival for children aged 5 to 12, featuring experimental archaeology and carpentry workshops, immersive experiences in the world of bees, including honey extraction, and explorations of fossil elephants. Our program includes a manual and creative workshop to discover the natural building materials (stone, lime and wood) and their use since ancient times. Some of the working tools and construction techniques that have characterized the building history of the last few millennia will be experimented with.
The goal will be to rebuild a small-scale house, using building materials such as stone and lime, all rigorously produced according to ancient manufacturing techniques.
Parents who will accompany their children by 6.00 pm they will also have ensured free entry.
