{"id":222,"date":"2014-03-19T18:30:32","date_gmt":"2014-03-19T17:30:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/coop-era.it\/?post_type=project&#038;p=222"},"modified":"2014-03-19T20:24:31","modified_gmt":"2014-03-19T19:24:31","slug":"valorizzazione-rocca-degli-alberti-monterotondo-marittimo-gr","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/coop-era.it\/en\/project\/valorizzazione-rocca-degli-alberti-monterotondo-marittimo-gr\/","title":{"rendered":"Alberti Fortress in Monterotondo Marittimo (GR)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>During the summer of 2012 we completed the project of <strong>valorization<\/strong> of the archaeological area of <strong>Alberti Fortress\u00a0<\/strong>to <strong>Monterotondo Marittimo (GR)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The site had been investigated for many years during our doctoral and postdoctoral work at<a title=\"University of Siena\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dssbc.unisi.it\/it\"><strong>University of Siena<\/strong><\/a>Over the course of six years, approximately 1,000 square meters of surface were excavated in the Rocca degli Alberti area, removing 1,440 cubic meters of earth that had been deposited between the 8th and 20th centuries.<\/p>\n<p>The Municipal Administration of Monterotondo Marittimo (GR), together with <strong>Coopera<\/strong>, however, he understood that the biggest challenge was to be able to plan the opening of the archaeological area which had provided very important scientific data for the <strong>Middle Ages<\/strong>.
