The story of Montieri<\/strong> re-emerges from the excavations<\/strong> for the district heating.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

Montieri<\/strong> It is a small medieval village located in the Province of Grosseto, in the heart of the Metalliferous Hills<\/strong>, an area linked since ancient times to a strong mining vocation<\/strong> due to the presence of important metal deposits, especially copper, silver and lead<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Since autumn 2012 the archaeologists of Coopera<\/a><\/strong> they are committed to following the excavation carried out\u00a0for the installation of the network <\/span>district heating,<\/strong>\u00a0carefully documenting everything that emerges from the ground.<\/span><\/p>\n

In collaboration with the Municipality of Montieri<\/a> we will participate in the national demonstration "The Nights of Archaeology<\/a>\u201c, organized by the Tuscany Region<\/strong> and now it's arrived\u00a0<\/span>in the fourteenth edition.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The evening program<\/strong>, which will take place on July 31, 2014<\/strong>, from 9.00 pm to 11.00 pm,\u00a0<\/strong>provides for a conference<\/strong> in which the results of archaeological research will be presented and a guided tour<\/strong> to the historic center, which will focus on the points of greatest interest that emerged during the archaeological excavations.<\/span><\/p>\n

There Night of July 31st<\/strong>\u00a0will serve to expose the challenge that is launched from the heart of the Metalliferous Hills, to demonstrate that the whole Maremma<\/strong>, even the most unknown, is full of landscape and cultural wealth<\/strong> and can provide an unforgettable visit or stay.<\/p>\n

For the occasion a new one will be presented Montieri map<\/strong>, made by CoopERA<\/strong>, with indications of the major historical emergencies found.<\/p>\n

The card will be distributed to all participants<\/strong> before the guided tour.<\/p>\n
