From the October 9-19, 2014<\/strong> in Tuscany the event takes place Culture Week<\/strong><\/a>, promoted by the Tuscany Region together with Toscana Promozione, Fondazione Sistema Toscana, Fondazione Toscana Spettacolo, Toscani del Mondo and Vetrina Toscana, to communicate that culture<\/strong> it also means sharing, enrichment<\/strong>, and even fun<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Coopera team, in collaboration with the Val di Cornia Parks Company, will participate in the Culture Week with the\u00a0Educational laboratory<\/strong> from the title Master Chef: The Middle Ages in the Kitchen<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sunday 19 October 2014, starting at 10.00 am at the Museum of the Castle and Medieval Ceramics of Piombino.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

But what is it about?<\/p>\n

A plate of spaghetti with tomato sauce? Roast chicken and baked potatoes? Impossible if our calendar dates back to a year before 1492, the year of the discovery of America.
\nSo what did people eat in the Middle Ages, and how was the table set? What did peasants, knights, monks, nobles, and kings eat?
\nThe archaeologists who have been excavating in Val di Cornia for years and who have participated in the preparation of the Piombino Castle and Medieval Ceramics Museum<\/strong> will share with you a unique and unpublished story that will have as its common thread that ofNutrition in the Middle Ages<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nA botanist will complete the story with a practical laboratory<\/strong> Discover some little secrets of medieval cuisine, just like a true Master Chef!
\nDuring the morning, participants will learn to prepare at least three fundamental ingredients of medieval cuisine: salt, oil, and a drink.<\/p>\n
