About Archaeology, Maremma, the Internet, and other amenities... or rather, online Art and Culture in Maremma.<\/p>\n

This is the title of the analysis presented by Giuseppe Alessandro Fichera in the prestigious venue of Buy Maremma Online<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The convention organized by was a great success Tourist Workshop<\/a>, held on 10 and 11 March 2015 in Grosseto<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Tourism, agri-food, art, and culture in Maremma have been scrutinized by the biggest names in the Italian tourism scene. Just look at the plan<\/a>\u00a0to realize what has been said.<\/p>\n

Archaeology, Maremma, the Internet and new communication tools, museums, and art in general. These were the main themes presented by Alessandro Fichera to the vast convention audience, following a thorough analysis that focused on the online presence and behavior of Museums and Archaeological Parks of Maremma<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The main web communication channels surveyed<\/p><\/div>\n

The analysis revealed a rather worrying finding. A very small percentage of our museums and archaeological sites present themselves correctly online and take full advantage of the potential offered by the web. No criticism of the institutions. Rather, the analysis sought to highlight weaknesses while also identifying potential areas for improvement, in order to better present our exceptional historical and artistic heritage.<\/p>\n

The tourist statistics for last season are also optimistic. The total number of visitors to Maremma is increasing, but above all, the number of people interested in the "artistic" sector is rising.
\nSo, there's an audience. Why not engage and captivate them more through the possibilities offered by "new" online communication tools?<\/p>\n

There is no shortage of examples that offer ideas and good practices to follow or draw inspiration from.<\/p>\n

What difference is there in this sense between the old storyteller<\/strong> and today's storytellers<\/strong>?<\/p>\n

The public is increasingly eager and curious to discover what lies hidden in the halls of a museum or among the remains of an archaeological site. It just takes learning to tell them...<\/p>\n

The book was presented afterwards Archeostories: An Unconventional Manual of Experienced Archaeology<\/strong>, a choral work by a new generation of archaeologists who continue to believe in the profession they practice, as demonstrated by the imagination and brilliance of the many facets of their daily lives, which the book recounts with lightness and mastery.<\/p>\n
